District 8 Public Works Integrating Committee
The State Capital Improvement Program (SCIP) and the Local Transportation Improvement Program (LTIP) are two programs funded by the Ohio Public Works Commission (OPWC) to assist in the financing of local public infrastructure improvements. The District 8 Public Works Integrating Committee is one of nineteen statewide district integrating committees established to administer SCIP and LTIP. SCIP and LTIP provide financial assistance to local communities for the improvement of their basic infrastructure needs. District 8 receives an annual allocation of approximately $10 million. Applications are due at the end of June and are evaluated based on a number of scoring criteria. The District 8 Integrating Committee approves funding for projects in November. Funding becomes available after July 1 of the following year.
The Integrating Committee will meet in early December, the meeting date and time will be posted later.
State Capital Improvement Program (SCIP)
SCIP is a grant and loan program for public infrastructure projects including roads, bridges, water supply systems, wastewater treatment and collection systems, storm water collection systems, and solid waste disposal facilities. District 8 receives an annual SCIP allocation of approximately $5 million for grants and $2 million for loans.
Local Transportation Improvement Program (LTIP)
LTIP is a grant program for public infrastructure projects for roads and bridges only. District 8 receives an annual LTIP allocation of approximately $3 million for grants.

District 8 Natural Resources Assistance Council - Clean Ohio Funding
Within the Department of Development, the Ohio Public Works Commission (OPWC) funds the Clean Ohio Program. The District 8 Natural Resources Assistance Council (NRAC) recommends projects for funding to the Ohio Public Works Commission through the Clean Ohio Program. The District 8 area covers only Summit County. For more information on the State Clean Ohio Program see the Clean Ohio fund website.
This Clean Ohio Green Space Conservation Program helps to fund preservation of open spaces, sensitive ecological areas and stream corridors. The members of the District 8 NRAC are: Lisa King, Chair; Dan RIce, Vice-Chair; Alan Brubaker, Mayor Bill Goncy, Chris Ludle, Jason Segedy, Ana Burns, Dennis Stoiber, Lisa Petit, William Funk, and Joe Leslie. Projects are reviewed and evaluated locally by the District 8 NRAC, with the highest ranking projects recommended to the OPWC for funding.
