The Summit County Planning Commission is an 11 member commission which has the responsibility to review proposed subdivision of land within the unincorporated lands of Summit County through the process outlined in the Summit County Subdivision Regulations. The Summit County Planning Commission also serves to advise and make recommendations to the townships of Summit County in regards to proposed amendments of zoning texts or maps. The Summit County Planning Commission meets once a month, typically the last Thursday of the month at 3:00 pm in County Council Chambers, the meetings are open to the public.

Starting July 1st the Summit County Planning Commission will resume in-person meetings in The Ohio Building 7th Floor County Council Chambers. The meetings will start at 3:00 pm.
**Due to a lack of quorum the August 26th 2021 Summit County Planning Commission Meeting will be cancelled. The items from this meeting will be heard at the next meeting.
The next meeting for the Planning Commission will be on Thursday, September 23, 2021, at 3:00 p.m., on the 7th floor of the Ohio Bldg.**
