President Barack Obama launched the My Brother’s Keeper (MBK) Initiative and called upon communities to address persistent opportunity gaps that exist for boys and young men of color. In 2018, Summit County Executive Ilene Shapiro accepted the Call to Action, developing MBK Summit County, with the commitment to empower and equip young men of color.
