November 17 Update:
Summit County Job and Family Services staff are continuing to field questions about the restoration of full benefits to SNAP recipients.
At this time, ODJFS guidance states 95% of recipients to have benefits fully restored to their typical November benefit amount by mid-week, with all existing SNAP recipients receiving full benefits by end of week.
Clients should monitor their accounts using the Connect EBT app, or through the Ohio Benefits Self Service Portal. The latest information will also be posted at jfs.ohio.gov.
November 11 Update:
The Ohio Department of Job and Family Services will begin issuing partial November SNAP benefits as soon as Wednesday, with distributions continuing daily. The exact amount will vary, but most households will receive less than 65% of their usual benefit.
Households that haven’t received their November benefits yet will begin seeing partial payments this week.
Those whose normal issuance day hasn’t passed will receive partial payments on their regularly scheduled day.
Some households may receive no benefit this week, depending on income and eligibility.

More than 77,000 Summit County residents in nearly 43,000 households rely on SNAP, which provides an average of $15 million per month in food assistance. However, as of October 27, Congress has not passed a federal budget or appropriated funding for the continuation of the program. According to a notice from the U.S. Department of Agriculture, there will be insufficient funds to pay full November SNAP benefits for approximately 42 million individuals nationwide beginning November 1.
