SOME POTENTIAL CHANGES TO STATE LAW COULD HAVE BIG IMPACTS FOR YOUR POCKETBOOK. TAKE A LOOK AT HB 93:

Currently, if a landlord does not ensure their properties’ water and sewer bills are paid and we have tried every other attempt to collect the unpaid balance, we are able to place a lien on their property.

House Bill 93 (HB 93) would limit that ability, likely leading to providers raising EVERY user's rate to adjust for these delinquent accounts.

Essentially, HB 93 protects out-of-state landlords who do not want to responsibly manage their business properties. They would rather pass the costs onto you.

If you believe neglectful landlords should be required to pay water and sewer bills like everyone else, please contact your state senator and representative as soon as possible and tell them to vote NO on HB 93.

If you are not sure who represents you, visit https://legislature.ohio.gov/ to find out now.
