Minor Home Repair Programs
These non-emergency home repair programs are for income-qualifying Summit County residents. You may not be eligible for all of the offered programs. Please see program descriptions below.

Home Weatherization Assistance Program (HWAP)

Can repair or replace furnaces, hot water tanks, and insulation

Should you be approved, an energy audit will be conducted to determine which repairs you may be eligible for

Summit County Lead Hazard Reduction Program (SCLHR)

Homes must be built before 1978 and have a child under 6 living in the home or meet the minimum visitation requirements

This program can identify and abate lead-based paint hazards around the home

Owner-occupied or rental properties may be eligible

Housing Rehabilitation Program (MHR)

Can address health and safety concerns found in the home through a 5-year deferred forgivable loan

Does not address major structural issues or aesthetic repairs

Clients must be 62 years or older

Can provide low-cost, high-impact maintenance repairs (e.g., ADA accessibility repairs, mobility aids, grab bars, etc.)
