Household Sewage Treatment System Program
The County of Summit Department of Community and Economic Development receives funding from the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency to assist low to moderate income homeowners in replacing failing septic systems or connection to public utilities.
This program is only available for owner occupied units throughout Summit County. To qualify applicants must: meet the income guidelines, have current homeowners insurance, be current on their property taxes and have a citation from the Health Department.
Assistance is available through a 5 year, deferred, forgivable mortgage.

Applications can also be mailed to 175 S. Main Street Room 207 Akron, Ohio 44308. Anyone wanting to hand deliver an application, must call ahead and make an appointment.
