Department of Development Contractor Homepage
The County of Summit Department of Community and Economic Development is seeking qualified, reliable, and experienced contractors to complete minor home repairs, home weatherization*, and aging-in-place modifications.
The Department of Development operates multiple local, state, and federally funded programs to assist low-income households throughout the county. We are looking for eligible contractors to register with the department to bid on future projects through the minor home repair programs.
Work may include, but is not limited to:
- General Contracting
- HVAC*
- Electrical Repairs & Upgrades
- Weatherization*
- Plumbing Repairs & Upgrades
- Roofing Repairs/Replacement
- ADA Modifications
- Siding Repairs/Replacement

Required Documentation
- SAM.gov Entity Registration
- Ohio Workers' Compensation Certificate
- EPA Firm Certificate
- EPA/RRP Renovator Certificates for all workers
- Lead Abatement licenses for workers and contractors, if applicable
- Ohio Secretary of State registration for business
- Any State Specific License, if applicable (plumbing, electrical, HVAC)
- Certificate of Insurance (must meet all County insurance requirements)
