Room With a View is a program that celebrates local artists by giving their work exposure in a public setting.  In January 2003, Room With a View unveiled its first exhibition in the 8th floor conference room of the Ohio Building. Since its inception, well over 100 local artists have participated in this program.  All mediums of art have been showcased – everything from sculpture to needlework to pottery to painting.  Our youngest artists were from Miller South School of Performing Arts and we are pleased that the current exhibition has a few of our more mature artists!

The County of Summit is proud to provide area artists with an additional venue to display their artwork, reminding community leaders of the wealth of artistic talent that exists throughout the community while encouraging citizens and community leaders to support area arts and cultural efforts.

In 2006, the National Association of Counties found the Room with a View program to be a unique and innovative county government program and as a result awarded the County of Summit with their prestigious “Achievement Award.”

Room With a View rotates artists and their works every four months.  The County of Summit thanks each of our current and past participants for allowing us to borrow these magnificent works of art.  Your talents certainly shows why Summit County, is truly the High Point of Ohio.
